Birthday Palooza!

1st, sorry for the delay...life got in the way of writing (geez, what was it thinking! lol)

2nd, I would love to write something new and fresh, but I have just been in an invite whirlwind so it's what I have to share right now...thus Birthday Palooza!

Invites, invites, invites!  Cute adorable theme's and even cuter kiddo's!!!  Last week found me working on Camping Invites, Moose Invites and Mod Monkey Invites (just to name a few!) and I am having trouble picking a fav. (these are some newer themes for me, i have been swimming in a sea of mickey, minnie and phineas and ferb invites...so it was refreshing to get a few new ones into the mix!)  So many themes and so little time!

Have you ever noticed as a crafty mom, that you get everything done for everyone else and are always waaaaaaaaaaay behind on stuff for yourself or your kids.  Yeah, that's me...Little Man's birthday is coming up and while I have all the intentions of making the cutest Mickey Invites for him EVER....here I sit with a rough layout and the idea that I can get to it in "plenty of time"  Someone needs to invent a slow-time button...it would be a huge hit.  Heck, I am still wondering how my baby is almost 2!  TWO!  I mean when did that happen... (about the same time by Big Girl zipped through time...hitting warp speeds as she gears up for 4)

It's funny how you mark time in your life...and what is currently making me feel old...is not my age...but the age of my children!  I obviously get the passing of the year ages me, but hearing the age of my kids makes me feel older somehow. (again that slow-time button would really come in handy)

But I digress, you aren't here to hear me rant about aging...and waxing poetic about how time flies too quickly (i know, blah, blah, blah...get to the good stuff...lol).

I will leave you to choose...which party would you want to have when you were a kid (and let's average the ages of the customers kiddo's here...and say you are 3...so grab your time machine and head back aways...)

Drum Roll Please!

 Camping Theme
(who can resist a good s'more!)

Moose Theme
(what rugged little guy wouldn't jump for these)

Mod Monkey
(i have to say the colors appeal to me! so trendy and fun!)

Feel free to leave your comments on what Theme/Party Invite would be your choice (it's always interesting to hear others thoughts)...and if you aren't in the commenting mood, that's fine...just be sure to step back in time for a bit and remember the good 'ole days of childhood.  Where the days seem to stretch on forever, parties were filled with sugar highs and ended either with the best nap ever...or a late bed time and getting to sleep in. Where sleepovers ruled (though little sleep was had) and no matter where your party was held the time with friends is what you truly remember.

And next time I promise it won't be about birthday's or invites! (here's a hint...i started a rag quilt project yesterday...which is shaping up to be a great 1st b-day gift for a special someone i know!)

Celebrate with Us - A Discount Party!

Birthdays are always tons of fun!  Remember those fun parties when you were a kid, piles of presents, all of your friends and just a general chaos that can only be described as fabulously fun.  Then as you get older the parties mature from jumping in ball pits and hitting a pinata to anything from a day trip with friends to somewhere special or showing off your license to anyone who will look at it (regardless of how that first picture looks!).  Then you get hit that next stage where you may party every year, but it's just the milestones that really count...wait I'm 30, no way...Huh, 40, 30 seems like yesterday!...When did 50 sneak up on me...  You get the idea...lol.  But no matter what you have planned as long as you get those notes, calls and e-mails from your friends and loved ones you feel soooo special, because they all remembered "your day"!

Well we want to pass on those warm fuzzy feelings of love to YOU!  There are two of us that work very hard on FashionableLore and when our birthdays roll around we want you to feel all warm and fuzzy and loved too.  So it's time to Celebrate with Us!

Meeska Mooska...Invites for Youska!

Who doesn't love Mickey Mouse (and Minnie too of course)!

And designing invites featuring classic characters is always fun!  I have found that Mickey is a huge hit for party invites and have recently added some invites featuring Minnie.

Who wouldn't smile at seeing your kiddo's face framed in a Minnie Silhouette!  Not only does it make a great invite, but a great keepsake of the memorable first years in your little one's life.

Parties are an especially fun time!  And getting to help parents take the theme one step further into invites is something I take seriously!  Not only do I devote time to the invite and placing the pictures perfectly, but I make sure I do endless tweaks and edits until the parents are over the moon with everything.  Does it mean I have scaled something by 1%, or nudged something to the left 3 clicks...of course!  And as any parent can tell you, planning your kid's party is a huge deal and having every detail in place just makes you feel that much more confident as the hectic, frenzied day approaches.  So if a small nudge is needed, I will edit away until it is beyond perfect! (wait can you be beyond perfect...yup, yup you can, whew!)

Custom Thank You

Thank you for reading!  And what might be on the horizon you ask?  Well right now there are a few new themes/invites in the work and I hope to share the final products with you soon.

Ok, ok....I'll give you a hint (man you guys are relentless...lol)

Right now I am working on Moose Invites (no, the invite isn't for a moose...it has a Moose Theme!) and a Mod Monkey Invite to complement that wicked fun Mod Monkey party kit (you mean you haven't been to a Mod Monkey Party yet, well you are missing out, cause they are super fun for your little one!)

*Remember if your kiddo wants to do the Hot Dog Dance with Mickey (on an invite)
or their party is headed over to The Clubhouse then message me
and we can get started on their perfect invitation!
I promise you a great deal and an even better invite,
featuring your favorite Mousketeer!

Fit for a Princess

Perfect for a Princess!  This custom order was tailored to fit a Birthday Princess!
"The Dharma" ~ Princess Fabric

What makes this dress great is all the stretch in the top that will grow with the Princess it was made for.  The straps are made with white satin ribbon and tie over each shoulder.
In the cooler months you can top it with a cardigan and layer it over leggings for a look that is perfect all year round!

This order was for a birthday girl, and no dress is complete with out a matching purse!

As part of the birthday package offered through the Fan Page's Birthday Club...this order came with a FREE Hair Bow! I did a double layered bow with swirl patterns that match the dress and mounted it on a semi-lined double prong alligator clip.

As an extra freebie (due to a mix up in the ribbon order and a very patient customer!) I tossed in something new I have been working on...drum roll please..........
A Button Ring!!!
All in all this was a very fun order to work on for many reasons.  Mainly because my daughter had so much fun talking about the princesses and discussing the purse with me.  Other reasons it was fun is because it is like the Tinkerbell Dress I made for my daughter who is head over heels for it and likes to wear it just about anywhere!  So I knew the princess dress would be a huge hit for any girl and knowing it was going to a birthday girl was even more special.  I also liked the creativity and suspense in the bow and ring, since the customer had no idea what to expect! I made sure to put both in the purse so that it was an added surprise!

Having a happy customer is always great, pleasing a little girl on her birthday is Awesome!

A great complement to a Party Princess Dress are these...Princess Invites!

Welcome!

Welcome to my Blog!

I am a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom ;-)) to two wonderful kiddo's!  In order to further express myself creatively I have two outlets....digital designs, creating invites, announcements, logos and on the rare occasions websites...the other is more tactile, working with fabrics, ribbons, yarn, buttons, etc.  In other words I create fashions and accessories...for kids!

I hope you all find me interesting enough to follow as my blog progresses.  You can check out designs, pricing, etc. below.  Enjoy!
